I'm a big guy and am afraid that I might break an indoor trainer. How hard can I ride an Indoor Bicycle Trainer?
How about taking a look at this video for starters.

About the only thing that I would recommend is to put your front tire up on some sort of block, telephone book, or riser and to put a mat underneath your bike. The riser will level off your bike (it raises the front tire) so you won't be putting so much pressure on your wrists. The mat helps the bicycle trainer from slipping on the floor.
