What To Use As A Riser For My Bicycle Trainer?
Ok. For those out there who do not know what a riser is used for, it is simply something that can be used to level off a bike when riding on a trainer. Some trainers allow you to get the rear tire as close to the ground as possible while others have the rear tire 2 inches or more in the air. So, what that does is place your bike at a downward angle and ends up putting pressure on your hands/wrists.
You can do as I used to do and use a telephone book under the front tire. I don't recommend that because a telephone book or other book tends to slide as you are riding. So, do the right thing and buy a riser block. There are several manufacturers of riser blocks and some allow different "levels" or height settings where you can place your front tire.
You can see a few choices below.
There is also something available called a climbing block. A climbing block allows you to simulate climbing hills and you can stack one climbing block on top of another.
